Media effect over audience【on the basis of News media and politics】(part-1)

★ News media is an important part of our life.  Which we can call a ‘mirror of our society' and it determines that what to see, what to think and how to behave.

                    But what happens when these media and leaders make us their puppets?

★ I am going to tell you many such points which are created to mislead people in the news media and politics.

1】Creating propaganda among people:

★ Propaganda is a such tactics through which the propagation of that particular person or politics and social image is done by spreading false propaganda under the specific agenda.

Which is shown in front of people by the news media in support of a particular political party or in the unable of people.  As a result, that particular person or place has a negative effect on people's mind and all these things are easily seen in the news media today.

★ According to Noam Chomsky, there are four filters of mass media to create propaganda in order to gain political benefits. these are…

a) Ownership of media:

★ The media has the power that it can uplift one's personality or even fall one's personality.  And at which time, in which the topic is to be debated, it is also decided by the media.

b) Funding:

★ When a political party buys a specific or particular news channel.  So, that news channel only speaks in his favor and never criticizes that party on his news channel.

Ex: Zee news

c) Create ‘flake’:

★  It is a stratigical process through which media creates negativity or wrong perception among audience for their content.

Thereby, increasing the TRP of that channel.  We can say this in another way, "famous through infamous."

d) Anti communism or Fear ideology:

★ Media and political party creates unnecessary fear in people under a particular agenda, due to which many things are affected.

Ex:  After the attack on the world trade center, the American news channel showed the big bearded as a terrorist and spread fear that every big bearded person is a terrorist.  Due to which the Sikhs and Muslims living there were tortured.

2】Spiral of silence:

★ People generate their own opinion by ownself. Means, Audience creates opinion by own thinking.  

But as time goes on, when they meets many people and watches the news channel, then his opinion gradually changes.  That is, the opinion of the audience is dominated by the mass media.

★ According to ‘Magic multiplier’, mass media provides content that have direct effect over the audience's perception, beliefs, ethics and their tendency to respond  from outer body.

3】Hyper bullet theory:

★ According to this theory, Whatever content the news media shows to the audience, the audience accepts it.  That is, the audience behaves at the behest of the media. They act as they say. The audience becomes a complete media's puppet but except a few audiences.
